Wilderwood’s innovative autistic-led, equine-inspired programs, research, and services open opportunities of possibility for autistic adults and youth. Wilderwood also provides a home and training opportunities for unwanted horses, and involves and educates the community about autism and horses.

ASAP PROJECT
Autistic Self-Advocacy Resources Database
To celebrate as part of April’s Autism Awareness/Acceptance month, we are soft-launching the brand new Autistic Self-Advocacy Project, or ASAP Directory: a directory of autistic-friendly grassroots professional, personal, and trade resources for autistic adults. These businesses and services were sourced by autistic and neurodivergent people.
It may be World Autism Awareness Day on April 2, but here at Wilderwood we are steeped in autism awareness EVERY day.
Wilderwood is enormously grateful to the funding support provided by NEXT for AUTISM Color the Spectrum grant as well as Meta’s Los Lunas Data Center Community Action Grant program.
